Wheelchair-accessible van repair that keeps the conversion working

A converted Sienna, Pacifica, Odyssey or Transit is not a van with a ramp bolted on. The floor is lowered, the suspension kneels, the doors are re-engineered. We repair the accident damage without undoing any of it.

When a converted van is damaged, the hard part is rarely the dent. It is everything the conversion company changed underneath: the lowered floor, the kneeling suspension, the power ramp, the door mechanism and the wiring that runs through all of it. A body shop that has not worked on one before will either avoid the conversion — and leave a problem for later — or disturb it without knowing.

What we do differently

  • Conversion checked before and after. Ramp deploy, kneel, door cycle and tie-down points are tested and documented at drop-off and again before you collect the van, so nothing has quietly changed.
  • Structure measured around the lowered floor. The conversion alters the frame geometry; we measure to the conversion's specification, not the base van's.
  • Wiring and controls protected. Ramp and door harnesses are located and isolated before any panel work near them.
  • Realistic timelines, said up front. We know the van is someone's independence. The estimate includes a real completion date and we call the moment anything moves it.

Conversions we work on

BraunAbility and VMI side-entry and rear-entry conversions on the Toyota Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey, and Ford Transit and Ram ProMaster commercial conversions. The red Sienna on our home page is a BraunAbility conversion repaired here.

Insurance and mobility equipment

Conversion components are covered under the vehicle policy but are often missed on an insurer's first estimate. We itemize them separately with part references so the supplement is clear and approved quickly.

Questions about this repair

Asked before you book

Can you repair the ramp or kneel system itself?

We repair the body and structure and make sure the conversion functions afterwards. If a conversion component itself is damaged, we coordinate the replacement with the conversion manufacturer’s network and handle it within the same claim.

Do you offer a loaner accessible van?

We do not keep accessible loaners. We help you get the rental coverage on your policy applied to an accessible rental and give you a timeline you can plan around.

Can the van be towed to you?

Yes. If it is not safe to drive, tell the tow company it is a lowered-floor conversion so they use a flatbed. Drop-off hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
